To Build Up A Wireless and Seamless World

Active Integrated Antenna (Undergraduate Thesis)
Motivation: Integrating antenna with the IC might be the last barrier to a fully integrated RFIC. When the performance of all separate components encounter the bottleneck, to optimize the avtive components and antenna may be a good way to improve. Apparently, traditional design methods only rely on the connection of the S parameters of two components are not enough any more. Co-design, which is a new way to design and optimize the active component and antenna simultaneously, may be a new trend in the future mm-IC design. The goal of my undergraduate thesis is to combine the analysis methods of field and circuit to find out a good way to co-design the active integrated antenna.
Dual-Band Composite Right/Left Hand Waveguide Coupler
Motivation: Multi-band microwave components have been the trends in nowadays communication tools. Dual-band branch-line coupler have been intensively studied in the past. However, literatures about dual-band waveguide coupler, which has high power capacity and low loss, are very rare. CRLH waveguide, which has a left-hand region and a right-hand region, facilitate the creation of the dual-band coupler. So the objective in this research is to research on the CRLH waveguide and employ it to develop a dual-band waveguide coupler
